Built for South African small businesses

Your HR department for the day something goes wrong.

Contracts, warnings and disciplinary hearings for South African small businesses, step by step and based on labour law, so a staff problem doesn’t turn into a CCMA case.

Free to join. Early members get founder pricing.

You run a business, not an HR department.

An employee is late for the fifth time. Stock goes missing. Someone stops pitching up. You know something has to happen, but not what, in what order, or what to put in writing.

Get it wrong and “they clearly did something wrong” isn’t enough. If the process wasn’t fair, a dismissal can still be found unfair, and the cost lands on you.

No contracts, or old ones

Downloaded years ago, never updated, and missing the clauses you’ll need later.

Warnings on WhatsApp

No record of what was said, when, or whether it still counts.

Panic when it’s serious

A hearing has rules, and one missed step can undo the outcome.

From “what do I do?” to done, in three steps.

  1. 1

    Tell us what happened

Pick the employee and describe the problem in your own words. NoHR matches it to the right offence and shows their warning history.

  2. 2

    Follow the steps

NoHR tells you whether this calls for a warning, an inquiry or a hearing, and walks you through each step in the right order.

  3. 3

    Get every document

Warnings, notices and outcome letters, filled in with your details and ready to print, plus a dated record of everything you did.

Questions employers ask

Is this legal advice?

No. NoHR gives you a fair process and the right documents. If you need advice on a specific case, you can escalate it to our partner labour law practitioner.

Do I need a formal hearing every time?

Not always. Since September 2025, small businesses without HR staff may use a simpler process, as long as the employee hears the allegations, gets a chance to respond, and is told the decision. NoHR tells you which route fits your case.

Can I just download a template?

Every document is filled in with your company and employee details, and saved to a dated record. That record is what shows a fair process if a case reaches the CCMA.

Is my staff data safe?

Yes. Data is stored in secure, access-controlled systems, ID numbers are encrypted, and only people you invite can see your records.

What if my industry has a bargaining council?

Some sectors have their own procedures. At launch we’ll tell you at sign-up if NoHR isn’t the right fit for your sector.
